BLANCHE'S STORY

Blanche has faced and survived countless challenges; childhood pneumonia,

poor self-esteem, cervical cancer, homelessness, domestic violence, two failed

marriages, single parenthood, financial ruin, and within a three month period,

the sudden death of 3 grandparents, a mentor and her beloved father.

Life could have broken her spirit but instead it shaped her greatness!

Blanche Williams is one of today's most inspiring and engaging

communicators. A true renaissance woman, she has evolved

from a non-conforming business and community maverick into

a national broadcast journalist, acclaimed author, dynamic

speaker and change agent. She believes that success doesn't

happen by chance, "it's my choice."

Tuned into her personal understanding of the greatness that

lies within each of us, in January 2003, Blanche launched

GREATNESS BY DESIGN, a rare and fresh talk show that

shuns sensationalism and focuses on the stories behind

women and men of greatness.

Since her debut, she's conducted interviews with stellar

personalities including Dr. Maya Angelou, Cicely Tyson, Suze

Orman, Dr. Mary Frances Berry, Quincy Jones, Charles OsGood,

Patti LaBelle, Ruby Dee, Ossie Davis, Dr. Stephen Covey,

Phylicia Rashad, Avery Brooks, Iyanla Vanzant, Caroline Myss,

B. Smith, Nancy Wilson, Po Bronson, Stevie Wonder, and

Deepak Chopra.

She founded and moderated the first annual National

Black Women's Town Hall Meeting on July 11, 2008, in partnership

with Dr. Dorothy Height and the NCNW.

The event included a distinguished panel of women, a diverse audience,

and was televised on C-Span.

Williams' mastery of inspiration and compelling communication is

proven in her acclaimed audiobook, How to Design Your Mind for

Greatness. She was also a contributor in bestselling book series,

Chicken Soup for the African American Woman's Soul.

Her passion for excellence has also been featured in national

publications such as ESSENCE, Black Enterprise, Washington Woman,

and the Essence Bestselling book Self Seduction: Your

Ultimate Path to Inner and Outer Beauty. She's been a featured

Empowerment Coach on Lime TV and regular contributor on Lime Radio's Total

Wellness with Dr. Andrea Pennington. Williams has written for

HerPlant.com, Black America Web, NiaOnline, The Gospel Truth, Afro-European

Sister Network, America Mi Dream, Rhythm Magazine, and EmpowerMag.com.

Williams is President/CEO of Greatness By Design, LLC and its

Empowerment Enterprises, based in the Metropolitan DC Area.

Williams has come a long way from her humble beginnings as a

shy, self-conscious young girl growing up in Memphis,

Tennessee. However, glimpses of her greatness began to

surface around the age of 12, when she was chosen to give her

8th grade commencement speech. Forging ahead with vision,

courage and self-determination, her innate spirit of excellence

continues to leave an indelible mark upon all her endeavors.

On her 21st birthday, Blanche drove from Memphis to Miami

with big dreams and even bigger plans. Her entrepreneurial

passion has spanned over a decade. Her first company,

Blanche Productions, Inc., was created at 23 which later became

The African-American Lively Arts Association, Inc., a non-profit

501 (c) 3 organization. Under her direction, it received international

recognition and acclaim for its Quincentennial Year projects' the

"Miami Expo '92: Unity of the Americas" and the International Youth

Ambassadors of Miami.

Williams went on to establish Destination

Florida, Inc., the only minority-owned firm

hired to work with President Bill Clinton

and the White House providing Special

Event and Logistics Management for the

historical "Western Hemispheric Summit of

the Americas-Miami" in 1994. She received local, national and

international recognition for her effort.

Her professional expertise continued to flourish as Small

Business Incubator Director for the well-known Center for

Technology, Enterprise and Development (T.E.D. Center)

serving Palm Beach County, Florida. Her business development

skills proved invaluable in the grooming and development of

emerging small businesses. One of her unforgettable highlights

while at the T.E.D. Center was speaking at the Habitat II United

Nations Conference in Istanbul, Turkey. Her professional efforts

have garnered many accolades, including the distinguished

"Community Service" Award from the National Association of

Women Business Owners.

In 1995, her life took a turn for the worse, yet was a blessing in

disguise. She endured the sudden death of her loving father,

three grandparents, and a mentor while also being in the midst

of a painful divorce. These losses would transform her life

forever while opening the door to a higher level of her

understanding, spirituality and greatness.

She continues to combine her life lessons, talents and

unrelenting commitment to leave her signature of excellence

and mark of distinction. As she touches audiences around the

world, her message centers on creating strategies that will

challenge and empower individuals to transform their current

mindset to one that will enable, strengthen and motivate them

to reach beyond their expectations to generate the power to

master personal greatness!

At six foot three inches tall her commanding demeanor,

graceful presence, and bold delivery keeps her heads above the

rest.

"Success doesn't happen by chance. Success is the journey of a series of deliberate and calculated choices, your choices."
